Marvin L. Rettig

Alice May Rettig, 91, of Milan, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.

The former Alice May Wright was born on Oct. 28, 1916, in Milan, a daughter of Thomas and Lily Masters Wright. She married Marvin L. Rettig on Oct. 28, 1939, in Milan. He died July 14, 1992.

She was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church, Milan, where she served as a deaconess and Sunday school teacher. Alice was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 326, Milan. Her life was about people and she especially loved her family.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tom Bruno, Dallas, Texas; a grandson, Paul Bruno, Dallas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, William, Herbert and Jack Wright; and a sister, Annie Hutchinson Lees.
