Kenneth Alan Lane Sr., of New Port Richey, Fla., died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007.

A memorial service will be held in the future. Memorial donations may be made to the hospice of one's choice.

Mr. Lane was born Jan. 18, 1919, in Ward, Iowa. He lived for many years in East Moline and Rock Island. He retired from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. He also lived for 17 years in McHenry, Ill. Mr. Lane was a veteran of World War II and a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge.

He will be joining his parents, four brothers and two sisters in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Lois M. Lane; daughter, Dawn Fogel; and sons, Kenneth Alan Lane Jr. and Brent B. Lane. Mr. Lane is also survived by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
